Abstract

This article addresses the challenge of knowledge transfer in legacy retirement record-keeping systems undergoing modernization as subject matter experts (SMEs) approach retirement. We propose a structured **Knowledge Transfer Framework (KTF)** integrating tacit and explicit knowledge capture methodologies with digital preservation techniques. Case studies show that organizations implementing structured knowledge transfer achieve **37% faster implementation** and **42% fewer post-modernization incidents**.
