Abstract
Affective computing enables machines to perceive and respond to human emotions, transforming human-computer interaction. This paper reviews enabling technologies such as voice modulation, facial expression analysis, and physiological signal processing, and explores applications in healthcare, education, and customer service. Ethical and technical challenges are discussed, emphasizing the need for responsible and empathetic AI systems.
